We (ArtTechSpace) collect information from you when you register on our site and gather data when you participate in the forum by reading, writing, and evaluating the content shared here.

When registering on our site, you will be asked to enter your name and e-mail address. You may, however, visit our site without registering. Your e-mail address will be verified by an email containing a unique link. If that link is visited, we know that you control the e-mail address.

We also collect information about what pages you visit on our site to provide us with a better understanding of our website and how people use it. This information is grouped together with all other user information and is not contain personally identifiable.

If you register as a technician, we will publish your profile and CV information on our website. This includes your name, general location and a summary of your work history. Registered employers will be able to view more detailed information about your work history. We will not publicly share your contact information.

If you register as an employer we will share your organisation details when you post jobs.

If you have attended an event organised by ArtTechSpace and you give us your email address we will use this information to contact you about future events and opportunities.


What do we use your information for?

We use IP address information and cookies to understand how people use our website and to help us improve it for users. This information is grouped together with other user information and is not personally identifiable.  

When you register we collect personal information about you to help you find work or to find the right people for your job.

We share profile and CV information of registered technicians to help them find work.

We share organisation information of registered employers when they post jobs to help them find the right people for their jobs.

We use registered user contact information to email users about jobs, events and other industry related information - including advertising and promotions from other organisations. We will use your profile information to send you information based on your location, work history and interests.

We will also use your email for administrative purposes, such as password reset, responding to your inquiries and letting you know about changes to our terms and conditions.


How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.


If you are a technician and have created a profile on the website, only users which have registered and paid the registration fee may access your profile online. This is our way of trying to make your profile more secure and that only employer users who are serious about finding a technician for their job will access your profile.


What is your data retention policy?

We will make a good faith effort to:

  • Retain server logs containing the IP address of all requests to this server no more than 90 days.

  • Retain the IP addresses associated with registered users and their posts no more than 5 years.


Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow). These cookies enable the site to recognize your browser and, if you have a registered account, associate it with your registered account.

If you are a technician and you have created a profile on ArtTechSpace we will charge Employer users a fee to access this information. This fee is how the site can run and it will help to maintain our guarantee that technicians will never be charged to find work on the website.


We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.  This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our site, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our site. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

If you are a registered user you can stop receiving emails by updating your contact preferences.
