These practical sessions aim to strengthen and elevate art technical professionalism within the industry. You will gain practical experience making mounts out of brass and stainless steel to give you an understanding of the different materials which can be used and their pros and cons based on the object you are mounting and the intended use of the mount. 

During this introduction to mountmaking, you will gain a foundational understanding of the significance of mounts, techniques for crafting simple yet secure mounts, and a grasp of the materials and tools involved in ensuring the safety and preservation of objects.
