Having a bad day at work?
We have all been there, whether you have woke up on the wrong side of bed, had one too many drinks the night before or the universe has turned against you over night. Whatever it is, for one reason or another, we all get days that will test us and perhaps drive our patience to the next level. I find that on days like these, things often happen in multiples as well.
For example, if you get a parking ticket, you can be sure you'll accidentally drive down a one way street that day as well, your paper works gets blown out the window whilst doing some quick turning to get off the one way street, before you get spotted by an enforcement officer. Loosing your paperwork means picking up the wrong edition artwork, having to go back to the depot after delivering the piece and realising the mistake. doing doubles on your journey and getting home 3 hours late. Everything can go wrong and will go wrong in a dominoes like effect. You'll wake up the next day and everything will have reset itself and life will be pleasant again.
Being an art technician can require a lot of forward thinking and logistical planning, even more so, for days when the universe turns against you, which it will for sure at some point. For me planning and having backup equipment, resources and plans can be vital in working in the fast pace client lead world of art and can often get you out of some sticky situations which could potentially loose customers or worse still your job.
